Merry Christmas

We all know that there is a big controversy over whether we should say 'Merry Christmas' or 'Happy Holidays'. Personally, I have nothing against diversity, but I think each holiday should be celebrated individually. For all I care, you can say Happy Hanukkah , or Merry Ramadan. But I think its wrong to not celebrate diversity by grouping all the holidays in one big 'Happy Holidays'. So this year, celebrate diversity and throw out a 'Merry Christmas' or a 'Happy Hanukkah', even a 'Merry Ramadan'!

iJabu Mesenger

I just discovered a cool new open Instant Messaging platform. I found out about the iJabu messenger by watching chandlerming223233 ’s video, which you can check out Here and you can check out the ad Here. You can even check out his website at www.ijabu.com. iJabu is an open instant messaging platform that uses XMPP/Jabber so that you don’t have to download another app just for iJabu (though you can now if you have a mac). You can keep using the applications that you already use or that enable you to sign on from multiple different locations. Some of the applications that you can use are: iChat (for Mac), Audium (for Mac), Pidgin (for PC) and Cocinella (for Mac, PC and Linux). They even have a page to help you choose the app that’s right for you.

iJabu messenger is not only for basic text chat, you can also (with the correct application) do screen sharing, voice and video chat, and file transfers. For Mac users there is an official iJabu application, and an official PC application is coming soon (1-3 weeks). Also, Video and Voice chat are coming to the Webchat for all those that don’t want to download an application or that use computers that aren’t theirs (their parents’?). Another cool feature of the iJabu messenger application, is that you are able to add and chat with your buddies from other networks (AIM, Yahoo!, and MSN). Currently the iJabu Messenger app is only available to Mac users, but as I said, it will be available to PC users within 1 to 3 weeks.

Since I’m on the topic of Nicolas (the creator of iJabu) also has a site calledYouTech.tv which is like YouTube, but only for tech videos. Users can upload their own videos and comment etc.

So give iJabu Messenger a try, and add me (my username is sircram), and while you’re at it, check out Youtech.tv and create an account!

Cheers,
